Break-In Procedure

The life of band saw blade can be increased significantly by controlled break-in procedure. 

First determine the final speed and feed and the correct tooth pitch, start the cutting with 70% of the final speed and 50% of the feed rate. After cutting approximately 400 – 600 cm², the band speed should be gradually increased to maximum, followed by the feed rate.
